Lets see if I can remember! I think it was a spell for mulled tea or mulled wine, to bring more sunlight and prosperity into our lives. THe alter itself - most of the decorations- are from a communal alter a friend set up. The god and goddess statue I think are Athena and ...I can't remember the God. For public rituals we use that as a generic god and goddess statue so I've forgotten the actual god's name.
I understand I'll go a bit more into detail of what the alter has
On the top, from left to right, are:
the God candle, the statue, the goddess candle
juice and bread for the simple feast
salt in a shell
water in a shell, the spell and components, the athame and incense container
maiden candle (Basically a candle that all other candles are lit from)

Amazing picture; I love how the candles are the only light but how they light up the entire altar a little. It makes the picture seem to capture the darkness and the light sides of Yule, plus it makes everythng seem warm, not like a flashbulb in the dark. (I can't tell you how many pictures I've had to pitch because I forgot to turn off the flash... hehe)
Your apart of a coven? Very lucky. I'm a solitary right now because there is no one around here who are well heh like me. There is word of another coven an hour or two away from me that I have been trying to reach for a half a year I think.
i love your altar. its very beautiful. can you tell me what the difference between Wicca and simply being Pagan? i'm currently looking into both because they both fit me but cant decide which. also, how exactly do you address the gods/goddesses? i live in a small town and dont have many resources other than the net (sites vary, gah!)
Sorry for taking so long to answer. I was in the hospital for a month.... ghah!
Yes..the statue is of Diana, though my friend and high priestess feel it's a statue of Artemis and the guy she turned into a stag for spying on her bathing (!). Either way, it's a cool statue. We're uber lucky to have found it!
Your altar is absolutely beautiful. I'm going to put mine up when.. I actually get them developed... If only my yule alter was that unstoppably beautiful! ::shifty eyes. Steals altar and runs away cackling::
The only remotely decorative things I had on my samhain altar were a small pumpkin made from.. I dunno what... I think cardboard or somethin'... and black taper candles with white spiderwebs all over em. I'd love to see you Samhain one. YOu should definately post it ((if you havent alread <_< ... >_>)
I've not posted any other ritual alters yet. Methinks I should get off my fluffy duff and get it done, eh? Plus I have baby rat and Guinea Pig pix to post ^.^. Ooooh! So many good pix but too dang lazy to put 'em up!
